EDMONTON – REVCOR Group Inc., an Edmonton, Alberta development company, is pleased to announce that the City of Edmonton has issued a Development Permit for THE MARK on 109, a 5-story mixed-use development which will be situated at 109th Street and 77th Avenue in the mature neighbourhood of McKernan.

This is the first major mixed-use project to receive a Development Permit under the City’s new 109 Street ARP, which was created by City Council in August of 2013.

With a goal of creating a unique and high-quality development REVCOR is excited and committed to reinvesting in the community of McKernan. We believe the plan for this evolving mixed-used segment of the 109 Street corridor will be a positive influence in the rejuvenation of Edmonton’s mature neighborhoods.

The careful design of the articulated and stepped building massing by Edmonton’s Whittaker Architect concentrates the project density on the 109 Street frontage and transitions down with rooftop patios and gardens from the glassed-in top storey to the street oriented family-style town-homes. The development is buffered against the existing neighbourhood by a unique new “living lane” public space. A re-developed streetscape with wide sidewalks and landscaped sitting areas wraps the site which will enhance this lively and inviting addition to the community, close to established bus routes, schools, the University and local parks.

REVCOR looks forward to a 2017 construction start.

It is hoped that THE MARK on 109 will act as a new landmark, anchoring the mid-point on the 109 Street Corridor, which will help define the entry to Edmonton’s Downtown and the North Saskatchewan River Valley.
